My assignment and stock photography work also focuses on nature, environment, natural resources, and fish and wildlife science subjects, although I also shoot recreation, lifestyle and travel subjects. My work is published in a variety of media including magazines, books, newsletters, advertising and marketing materials and web sites.
Some typical photography assignments include:
● An assignment from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to travel throughout the state, photographing its fish hatcheries and wildlife areas, focusing on the resources, wildlife and amenities they provide to the public as well as the agency's various management operations.
● Photographing river and stream habitat restoration projects on an ongoing assignment for The Nature Conservancy in Oregon.
● Assigned by the Deschutes Basin Land Trust to photograph a large forested property in Central Oregon the group is seeking to purchase as a conservation reserve.
● Covering fishing, hunting and resort lodges for Bend Living Magazine to illustrate a feature article
● Participating photographer for the "Day in the Life of Central Oregon" book project
● Photography of the Columbia and Snake rivers for the National Geographic Society TV Division to publicize the NGS film special Power of Water
● Environmental portraits of a forensic scientist at the US Fish and Wildlife Service Forensic Laboratory, Ashland, Oregon on assignment for textbook publisher McDougal Littell
● Assigned by Trout Unlimited to photograph efforts to recover endangered trout species in Colorado, Arizona and Tennessee.
